Installing your LiftMate with a Hi-Tide Boat Lift Controller is simple when done safely and correctly. Follow this easy guide to complete your wiring setup for smooth and secure lift operation.

⚠️ Important Safety Warning

The LiftMate device must only be connected to 5–32VDC or 12–24VAC.
Never connect it to higher voltage sources.
Before wiring, disconnect power by unplugging the lift or switching off the breaker.

Tools & Materials Needed

  • LiftMate device with wiring harness
  • T-Tap connectors (included with LiftMate)
  • Screwdriver and wire strippers
  • Electrical tape
  • Hi-Tide receiver wiring diagram
  • Multimeter (optional)

Step-by-Step Wiring Instructions

1.    Turn Off Power
Always disconnect power to ensure safety before wiring.

2.    Locate the Receiver Board
Open the Hi-Tide control box and locate the terminal block labeled Raise (CH1 NO), Lower (CH2 NO), and Common.

3.    Connect LiftMate Control Wires

o   Blue wire → Raise (CH1 NO)

o   Purple wire → Lower (CH2 NO)

o   Black wire → Common

4.    Connect Power Supply

o   Attach the red wire from the LiftMate power cable to the 24VAC (+) terminal on the receiver board.

o   Use the provided T-Tap connector for a secure connection.

5.    Connect Common & Sensor Wires

o   Join the black common wire from the LiftMate power cord with the white common wire (running from the transformer to the UP/DOWN switch).

o   Use the provided T-Tap connector.

o   If your boat lift includes limit switch sensors, connect their remaining wires to the upper and lower limit switch terminals as shown in the diagram.

6.    Sensor Configuration

o   For correct operation, open the LiftMate App and enable Flip Sensor Logic for the Storage or Lower Limit Sensor, depending on your setup.

7.    Final Checks

o   Double-check all connections.

o   Restore power to the lift.

o   Test the LiftMate app to confirm proper Raise/Lower operation before regular use.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Device won’t power on: Check red wire connection and verify voltage (12–24VAC).
  • Lift not operating correctly: Ensure blue, purple, and black wires are connected properly.
  • Sensor not reading: Try enabling or disabling “Flip Sensor Logic” in the app.
